Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend Matt Rutler were arrested early Tuesday morning. According to TMZ, the 30-year-old singer was arrested at 2:45 a.m. in West Hollywood, Calif., for public intoxication, and her 25-year-old beau was arrested for driving under the influence.
Aguilera was booked and listed at 5-feet-2-inches tall and 100 pounds. She was described as "extremely intoxicated" and "unable to take care of herself." A law enforcement source claimed that "if (Rutler) had not been arrested for DUI, (Aguilera) would have never been in trouble."
Rutler was pulled over when cops noticed he was driving erratically. His bail was set at $30,000.
Since Aguilera's divorce from Jordan Bratman, the veteran performer's behavior has been increasingly unpredictable. Sources close to her have reportedly been trying to get the Burlesque star and mom of Max, 2, to enter a rehab program for several weeks. Just last month, she was reportedly wasted at Jeremy Renner's birthday party and her flub of the national anthem at the Super Bowl led many to speculate whether her drinking had affected her poor performance.
We sure hope this single mom can get her personal life and career back on track. We're not ready for another Lindsay Lohan on our hands!
