Prince William & Kate Middleton Push Past Photo Woes with Solomon Islands Adventure

Putting on brave faces while making the third stop on their nine-day Southeast Asian and Pacific tour, Prince William and Kate Middleton were treated to quite the festive greeting upon touching down at Honiara International Airport on Sunday (September 16).

Quite smitten with the warm reception, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge smiled and waved to the gathered crowd of 60,000 Solomon Islanders who, as well as a few dignitaries and a cadre of traditional dancers.

Wasting little time, Will and Kate proceeded to load aboard a curious canoe-themed truck as they pushed forth with their tour itinerary - which was crafted as part of Queen Elizabeth II's ongoing Diamond Jubilee.

And while the royal couple has remained positive and focused on their Southeast Asian/Pacific tour, sources tell that William is "furious" over European tabloids having just published intimate, topless photos of he and his beautiful bride.

Talking about the tense situation, Vivienne Parry (who was a close friend of the late Princess Diana) told the Daily Mirror,"He [William] lost his mother to the foreign photographers, he will do absolutely everything in his power to prevent the same thing happening to Kate."

"Don't imagine for a minute that William, who puts a huge amount of effort into protecting Kate, will take this lying down, Miss Parry added. "He made sure she was surrounded with a great team and they had time alone together in Anglesey to help her adapt to the storm ahead."
