Her astounding work in "Silver Linings Playbook" scored Jennifer Lawrence a win at tonight's (February 23) Independent Spirit Awards.
The 22-year-old received the Best Female Lead award, beating out her competitors including Linda Cardellini, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Quvenzhan� Wallis, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Meanwhile, John Hawkes ("The Sessions") beat out Miss Lawrence's co-star Bradley Cooper for the Best Male Lead award.
Both Jennifer and Bradley's work gained recognition, as their highly acclaimed flick took home Best Feature.
In related news, the "Hunger Games" star is getting ready for her big night at the 2013 Academy Awards on Sunday night (February 24) and hopes to score her first Oscar.
