Josh Brolin in Rehab for Substance Abuse

Josh Brolin is in rehab for for substance abuse according to a report from US Weekly. The 45-year-old actor has checked himself into a rehab facility in Northern California. Regarding Josh Brolin’s decision to enter rehab, US Weekly quotes an unnamed source who told them “He realized he needed help and is committed to his sobriety.” The news breaks just weeks after his involvement in a brawl at O’Briens Irish Pub in Santa Monica, California bar, which was captured on video by TMZ (below) which they dubbed, with characteristic aplomb, “the most entertaining bar fight we’ve seen all year.” Later that same weekend, TMZ captured him on video again, this time, in a verbal altercation with a taxi driver in L.A. at a Del Taco drive-through. TMZ also captured, on video, on the Monday morning after the unfortunately eventful weekend, Josh Brolin’s reaction to his conduct. He told the photographer he was not going to drink again. The back-to-back weekend incidents were not the first such documented incident in recent memory. He rang in the new year by getting arrested for public intoxication, also in Santa Monica.
