The Situation has tons of money and a solid reality TV career, but now he wants to show the world that he's more than just a pretty face -- er, stomach. In a new interview with MTV News, the Jersey Shore star says that he'll be actively pursuing a film career in 2011. Watch the video below!
The Situation is cagey about what kind of movie he'd like to do, saying only, "I want to surprise everybody." We're not sure what Mike Sorrentino has in mind, but since he seems to be considering his options, we've picked 3 roles in upcoming films that we think would be perfect! Here are our picks for The Situation's movie debut:
1. He-Man in Grayskull
The beloved childhood '80s cartoon He-Man is due for a new feature film remake in 2011. Like He-Man's alter ego Prince Adam, The Situation seems like an ordinary guy with a bad haircut -- until he takes off his shirt and reveals his heroic abs. By the power of Grayskull, The Situation has the power!
2. Iceman in Top Gun 2
The Situation has strong feelings about what makes a perfect wingman -- and so does Iceman (originally played by Val Kilmer), the stone-cold naval aviator who challenged Tom Cruise in the '80s classic Top Gun. Now that a sequel is in the works, maybe Sitch could translate his experience in clubs -- playing wingman, dodging "grenades" -- into a tour of duty with the Navy.
3. Rocky in The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Glee creator Ryan Murphy is rumored to be remaking this cult classic -- meaning he'll need an actor to play Rocky, the guy who spends the whole movie in a tiny gold Speedo. Rocky doesn't have many lines, gets lots of sex scenes, and his dancing is supposed to be clunky. And seeing the Jersey Shore star in a musical would certainly "surprise everybody." In other words, call your agent, Sitch; we found you a winner!
