Will Conrad Murray Claim that Michael Jackson Killed Himself?

Will Conrad Murray Claim that Michael Jackson Killed Himself?

According to the Associated Press, the defense for Dr. Conrad Murray, the man facing involuntary manslaughter for the death of Michael Jackson, will claim that the King of Pop actually killed himself.

Deputy District Attorney David Walgren stated, "I do think it's clear the defense is operating under the theory that the victim, Michael Jackson, killed himself. They don't want to say it, but that's the direction in which they are going."

This all comes in the days leading to January 4th, when Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor will hold a preliminary hearing to decide if there is enough evidence against the doctor to hold him on trial.

The AP also reports that recently, "Murray clashed with the prosecutor over who should test residue from two syringes found in Jackson's bedroom." An issue "unlikely" to be brought up in the hearing.

Murray's defense attorney J. Michael Flanagan (who declined to comment on the possible Jackson suicide defense) argued that the amount of anesthetic Propofol that Murray gave to Jackson wasn't enough to kill him and has suggested that the singer possibly injected himself with more when he was alone.

Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009 at the age of 50.

What do you think of the defense's strategy to claim that Michael Jackson killed himself? Chime in below.
