Paul Rudd Is Ant-Man in Edgar Wright?s Superhero Movie: Confirmed by Marvel

After days of speculation Marvel has confirmed that Paul Rudd will portray Ant-Man and bring the iconic superhero character and his alter ego scientist Dr. Henry Pym to the silver screen for the first time in the upcoming Edgar Wright movie. Multiple film industry news outlets — including Variety (who were first to break the story), Deadline.com, The Hollywood Reporter and The Wrap — had reported that the deal was sealed. Marvel has now issued the official statement that Paul Rudd is indeed a part of the movie which will be directed by Edgar Wright (‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’). Previously, there were rumors that Joseph Gordon-Levitt might be taking on the role but in recent days and weeks all speculation focused on Paul Rudd. It reads in part: “We knew early on that we had found the right person in Paul.
