Jennifer Lopez's marriage is over, but that doesn't mean she can't contribute to the wedded bliss of others. Just days after announcing that she and Marc Anthony were ending their union, Lopez jetted off to the Ukraine to perform at the Tuesday night wedding of oil tycoon Azam Aslamov's son. Always the consummate professional, Lopez -- who reportedly pocketed a nifty $1 million for the gig -- kept the wedding's guests (thought to be in the range of 500!) thoroughly entertained, even taking requests from the audience.
People reports that the wedding was held at the Crimean Aivazovskii Hotel on the Black Sea coast, with many of the guests flying in by helicopter. Lopez stayed in a penthouse suite at the Villa Helena and brought an entire entourage of backup dancers and singers, as well as 20 tons of sound equipment.
Meanwhile, Marc Anthony took to the stage across the world in Bogotá, Colombia, Saturday night, and gave an impressive show that wowed his fans. His guitarist, Mario Sebastian, told People, "He's a performer. He is as confident as all the band members are. The show always will go on."
Despite the burgeoning rumors that the couple split up over control issues and infidelity, both of them obviously deal with hardship in a similar way: Get back to work, and please the fans who show up to see them perform.
The American Idol judge appeared in top form at the Ukrainian wedding, and the bride and groom were obviously delighted with Lopez's performance. From the looks of it, those Ukrainians sure know how to throw a party!
