Four years after the infamous Kanye West/ Taylor Swift incident at the MTV Video Music Awards, a new tape purportedly features the rapper ranting about the country crooner and other aspects of the show.
Published by Gawker and allegedly taped at Corner Bistro in New York City shortly after the event, the recording has yet to be verified.
In the approximately two and a half minute recording, the "Jesus Walks" rapper slams Taylor, saying, "When I heard Eminem's verse on the Drake sh*t, I went back and rewrote my sh*t for two days. I canceled appointments to rewrite! I f**kin' care! You know what I'm saying? And that's what I'm saying. Because I did that, Taylor Swift cannot win over Beyonc! Because I wrote my verse in two days, Taylor Swift cannot beat Beyonc. As long as I'm alive! And if I'm alive, kill me then! Kill me then! As long as I'm alive, you gon' have to deal with it. 'Cause there ain't gonna be no more motherf**king Elvises with no James Browns."
Seemingly angry about a bigger picture, he continued, "My mother died for this fame sh*t! I moved to f**kin' Hollywood chasing this sh*t. My mother died because of this sh*t. F**k MTV."
Taking aim at another VMA performance, Mr. West exclaimed, "What the f**k was Pink performing? Don't nobody know that song. Pink performed twice! Two songs? How the f**k Pink perform two songs and I didn't even get asked to perform 'Heartless.'"
