Now they returned for the 71st gala, held once again at the Beverly Hills Hilton, in Beverly Hills, CA. The started off the show with a lengthy monologue skewering a number of the nominated movies and television shows and, as expected several members of Hollywood’s hallowed A list in the audience. ‘American Hustle’ got a new title, they revealed after ‘Explosion at the Wig Factory’ was dropped. As for George Clooney in ‘Gravity,’ they chalked it up to ‘the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age,’ referencing his costar Sandra Bullock.
