After playing another legendary actor's son in "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," Shia LaBeouf will portray Robert De Niro's progeny in the upcoming film, "Spy's Kid."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Transformers" star will join director D.J. Caruso in the Paramount Pictures flick.
Based on a six-part series of articles by Bryan Denson, the movie will follow the true story of a traitorous spy who enlists his son to continue his work.
Up next for the 26-year-old actor is "The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman," in which Shia plays the title character, who falls for a woman claimed by a violent crime boss.
