Yes, ‘Boston’ Rob Mariano is indeed the Survivor Redemption Island winner! The Season 22 finale was one for the books. Rob played a terrific social game, holding his alliances and sub-alliances together. Even Jeff Probst and Russell Hantz said this season was perhaps the best strategically. Rob even beat Matt Elrod for the $100,000 Fan-Favorite Prize. So how did it all unfold? We begin on Night 35 at Redemption Island. Grant arrives and joins Andrea, Matt and Mike. This makes Andrea worried, as she now feels like an underdog for the final duel. Back at Camp Murlonio, Rob is bumming for booting Grant. He still has his eyes set on getting rid of Ashley ASAP. Day 36 and we have the final Redemption Island duel. Rob, Phillip, Ashley and Natalie watch as Matt, Mike, Grant and Andrea compete for one last try to stay in The Game. The event was a game of balance, supporting a ceramic vase on the end of a long board, mounted on a swinging pivot, with just one foot. After 40 minutes, Grant lost control and was out. Matt followed him about 20 minutes later. Finally, Mike cramps up and his vase falls and breaks. [...]
