Taking to the red carpet to debut his latest effort, Paul Rudd tended to press duties at The Cinema Society & Altoids screening of "Our Idiot Brother" in New York City.on Monday evening (August 22).
The 42-year-old actor had plenty of support at the 1 MiMA Tower venue, as he was joined by co-tar Hugh Dancy and director Jesse Peretz during the upscale Big Apple premiere.
Also joining in on the festivities were a handful of lovely ladies, with actress Alicia Silverstone turning up along with supermodel Irina Shayk and reality star Olivia Palermo.
With the comedy also starring Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel and Rashida Jones, "Our Idiot Brother" is "centered on an idealist (Rudd) who barges into the lives of his three sisters (Deschanel, Banks and Jones)."
Set to hit theaters this Friday (August 26), Rudd recently told about what drew him to taking on the project, saying, "The thing that struck me was the character itself. I liked this person, and I thought that would be a fun thing to play. I never thought in terms of "Oh, he's stupid," or "He's a stoner." It was the idea of someone trying to live their life in a certain way, and maintaining that."
He added, "There's room for behavioral humor, but it also had poignancy and depth to it."
