They walked down the aisle eight months ago, but Joanna Garcia and Nick Swisher aren't taking their honeymoon til this November.
As for their chosen destination, the ?Best Without You? beauty and her Yankees outfielder hubby are heading to Afghanistan to visit the U.S. troops.
Mr Swisher told the New York Post that the idea for the trip stemmed from when ?three military officers came to the Yankee locker room and asked if any of us would like to visit the troops. My hand went straight up, I said, ?I?m in.? I knew Joanna would want to go.?
?It will be our first trip since we got married,? added the baseball star.
While Joanna revealed, ?We are both really looking forward to visiting the troops. Yes, it isn?t a traditional honeymoon, but it is something we both feel strongly about.?
